Head Velocity MLT is called a multi but is it a 'synthetic like fake multi'?
(I understand that even two filaments or a thousand filaments can be both called a multi, but to me it is not a true multi)
I understand that MLT is called a multifilament but does not fray, therefore I think it is a 'synthetic like fake multi'.
After couple hours of use....
Head Velociy MLT = At the sweetspot area, you will not see any fraying but only the discoloring (if using black or blue) of it, and the white inside is exposed. Eventually, it breaks as it becomes thinner. It ages the same as a synthetic string.
Tecnifibre X-One Biphase = At the sweetspot area, you do see the tens of threads coming out, and we call this fraying. After heavy fraying, the string will break. I regard this as a 'true multifilament'.
What is your opinion?
Also, can anyone recommend the cheapest, good-performing multi that frays? ($10-15ish) I want to see fraying as I play.
