High level players that play with a syn?

^^LOL. No, no gloves. When you string a lot, you get use to it.

I strung four of Witten's frames last week in a box pattern at the Delray ATP. 18 x 20, at 67 lbs with alu rough. Finshed all four in less than an hour.

The player I hated stringing for the most was Kunitsyn. Full bed of Poly Star Energy in an 18 x 20. I was so hoping he would lose so I wouldn't have to string his frames anymore :) (when stringing at a tournament you get assigned specific players and string for them throughout).

I was also assigned Igor Andreev (lux bbo) and he requested two piece which made his frames a breeze.

Only string one or two frames/week. Nearly all two-piece. Witten must have elbows of steel.

Are you misquoting the time? Were you going all out?

I'm sorry, I know you are an accomplished stringer, but even many of the pro-stringers that I've seen (and myself included) can do racquets perfectly in 15 min or less and that 15 min doesn't include the poly-bags, stenciling, etc... Given the pattern, the string and tension, I don't think you're being entirely truthful here.

No. I believe it was about an hour and pretty sure it was less.

Whatever makes you happy. Fact is, given the guys I was stringing with, and witnessed first hand, my pace was actually slow, as these guys were turning frames around in about 12-13 minutes, and about ten minutes when they were sent a frame from a match still going on. And yes, frames were being strung extremely well. If not, they would have been sent back to re-string. Oh, and I wasn't stenciling his frame,,,,only bagging it, although I did stencil other players frames (Tipsarivec, Andreev, Dodig, Potro, etc). Serra was another one who didn't want his frames stenciled.

One thing you need to keep in mind is that one of the stringers girlfriend was cutting out strings for us, so we didn't have to deal with waisting time on that.

There we go, I can believe it a little more now.

One of my hitting partners is a solid 5.5. He uses full OG Micro. He's not that serious about tennis though, and only plays about once a week.
