How do tennis players or watching/playing tennis inspire you?

I have been a long-time lurker on this forum. It may be the recency bias or nostalgia - but it sure feels like sometime back there were more positive threads on this site than the incessant barrage of hypotheses, debates, arguments, ifs & buts and trolling prevailing today.

I think we all have enough negativity on this forum and certainly in our lives. So, how about we talk about the positive impact of tennis in our lives? The moments when you fell in love with tennis or your favorite player? The moments when watching tennis/your favorite player was the only solace in life, when it motivated you to be better, give your best, or fight on or how its something that can give your mind the break it needs from life problems?

I stumbled upon tennis when I was an overweight kid in college. I was a bit quicker in acquiring basic tennis skills and that made it possible for me to be competitive in tennis with my athlete friends (when we hit casually). It was a great confidence boost and made my interest in tennis grow. I played it with one hand, in fact did not know that a thing like double-handed backhand exists. So, one day out of my frustration and bid to improve, I started googling on how a backhand was hit. Youtube took me to a video of a pro. I saw my first no-look down the line backhand winner and boy, I fell in love and embarked on a journey that continues till date and has been worth every moment!!

Waiting to hear more such stories/feelings from all fans on this forum. Please. The dias is yours. Thanks.
