How do you hit a slice serve into the body?

Hi fellow tennis players,

I can hit a good slice serve wide (on the deuce court, I am a righty) but I am unable to hit a slice serve that curves into the body and jams the receiver.

When I hit a slice serve, I usually think about brushing the outside of the ball (around 2-3 o'clock) and that works very well: the ball goes wide and has a lot of break/action.
However, when I try to direct the same type of serve towards the body, I seem to lose the slice and it becomes more of a low-percentage flat serve with no movement.

I appreciate any tips you may have on getting the direction (into the body) while still keeping the slice action/movement on the ball.

There are basically two ways to do it. One as Topspin Shot mentioned is just to realign your serve stance, basically rotating the whole court underneath you, to aim the serve where it needs to go. This is a pretty simple and effective way to do it if you are dialed in enough on the slice so that you aren't thrown off by the stance adjustment.

The more standard approach is to aim the shot like you would any other. You just make contact with your strings facing the proper direction. So in this case you would brush the ball in the same direction as usual, but your racquet face needs to be aimed more towards the T than wide.

Try moving your ball toss back slightly. As you toss more forward and to the forehand side, you are carving on the side of the ball, and as you move the toss back, you are brushing sideways on the back of the ball,

I Think of hitting down towards the middle of the center line of the service box (Deuce side) with sidespin. It won't land in the center line though because of the spin produced, it will veer/curve into the body as opposed to going straight down the middle. For the (Add side) hit sidespin again but aim for the corner of the box and it will also veer/curve into the body instead of going toward the corner.

Spin produced by you has to be majority slice and not topspin if you want the full curve effect. Might work/not work for you and some players might think this is hogwash but this is what I think of when I want to jam someone and it works for me. Give it a try, it couldn't hurt.
