How do you transfer from one team to another?

I need advice from league regulars!! I signed up for a 4.0 USTA team preseason. I just changed to a new tennis club and I want to sign up for their 4.0 team but the USTA website will not allow it (says I can't because I'm signed up for the original team). I did not see any kind of tool on the website that allows deleting yourself from one team and adding onto another roster? Any advice? Do I need to contact the USTA/Norcal and have it done from their end? Thanks for the help. Ben in San Jose.

There is no tool for doing that.

I had a friend once though that signed up for a 3.0 team that he really didnt like. When another 3.0 team offered to take him, he called up the league coordinator and they just moved him from one team to another.

So call your League Coordinator, it's possible they might be able to do that unless they have some sort of rule against it.

Probably. I'm in a different section but that's how it is for us. You'll need to contact your league coordinator who will then probably have to contact the district coordinator. For us, it's best to do it before the season starts. Good luck!

Again just call the coordinator, we have had issues locally where teams signed up players who had never officially agreed to play with and thus blocking them from other teams

If you have already played a match for your original team, you will not be able to change teams. You may be able to, though, if you have yet to play a match.
