How to learn to let go?

What a strange narcissistic thing to ask someone!!

Err that's because I had once told her that when I liked a girl before I could tell almost all the dresses that girl used to wear and when.

She kind of tested me with that for herself.

She isn't narcissistic, not in the least.

Ay Forehand Cross, good luck with life bro. Time to make some money. Smart investment decisions and what not. Don't go looking for love in all the wrong places. The waffles are in the freezer, but you ain't gonna find em just like that. Go buy your own waffles.

While I agree that it isn't narcissistic at all given the context in which she asked you the question.
But I have to say and I probably should have said it earlier(didn't want to p1ss on the moment you were having) that asking that question was a very poor choice by her.
It was essentially flirting. She should know better than to flirt with a guy with whom she doesn't want to be in a relationship with or maybe can't be in a relationship with for geographical or other constraints and knows that the guy has feelings for her.

If you are not wise enough which most guys are not, flirting like that in such a situation would only end up giving the guy false hope when really he should be getting closure because there seems to be no real possibility of a relationship.

Either she had a brain fart. Or she is not as nice as you think. I will obviously lean towards the former coz benefit of doubt but it can't be denied that there has been many cases where girls AND BOYS for that matter use a person who likes them as a way to feel better about themselves and they don't even realise it.
Their intentions might not be impure but flirting with a person who would love to be in a relationship with you while not wanting to be in a relationship is not good because you end up playing with their emotions.
It is quite okay to flirt with someone ofcourse if both parties are not serious or if both parties are serious.

Err no it wasn't flirting, while talking I felt this was her way of knowing if I remembered/liked her finally as I had never said it.

She is a nice person, she wasn't stringing me along, at least that's not what I thought.

Either way I am not going to be overthinking this.

Yes, what's done is done. Time to ball up son. Make that paper. I am dying of boredom (not from this thread, just saying).
