seriously tho, does it have one of those authenticity stickers on it? i don't know if babolat put them on racquets but a lot of manufacturers seem to. i would assume they are hard to fake

otherwise, i guess u'd be able to tell by comparison with someone elses..

failing that, have a hit with it!!!!

they put bar code stickers at the top of the inside of the throat. all the drives amd drives pluses i've seen the bar code letters/numbers start with "k"

I don't know if they still use it. But in the past, there was a hologram sticker inside of the beam next to specs. If you peel it, it should show hexagonal pattern on the sticker for authentic Babolats.

Check the white block lettering on the racquet. Some of the fakes say "Spamolat" instead of "Babolat", and may also have grips with only 7 sides instead of 8.

Check the grommets. If the grommets are straight through the holes, that is a fake. For the real, at least all the newer PD or AD have the grommets that are flatten out at the inside of the hoop. It looks as if it is made for letting the nods of the string to rest there.

Hope you understand what I'm taking about.

I got two AD off the auction site about 2 months ago, I deemed that they were fake because it felt like head heavy, too much vibration, and the grommets were different. I returned them to the seller under Paypal's protection program.

One more thing, if the hologram authenicity label on the racket displays some chinese words, it is a fake too. My friends in Hong Kong bought the real one from store, and the real one has the hologram without chinese words. The fake ones that I got from internet displayed the chinese words.
