Help me out here.

i am planning in buying a new frame. my current one is a Head Ti.elite CZ MP anti-torsion with a s1 swing style. (not the nano ti.s1)
the specs i believe are:
Head Size: 102
Weight:270
Length: 27.5
Pattern:16x19

i'm thinking of these brands: Volkl, Yonex or Kneissl.
what are my choices to get a similar frame, or alternatively a heavier frame?
ps:eek:ther choices are welcome...

I think you need to decide wether you want a similar frame or a different frame. If you want a different, you should say a little about why. Also a bit about your playing style would be good..

Thank god.

I am pretty much a baseliner 3.5 to 4 with good powerfull serve. i would like something with about the same feel, slightly heavier, and a litle more control oriented.

i am torn between Volkl V8 tour, Yonex RQ iS 2 Tour Racquets and Kneissl black star...

is this non-sense?

You should try the Head Ti.Carbon 5000

Head: 102
Weight: 311
Length: 27
Pattern:18x19
Stiffness: around 67

The only problem is that they don't make this frame anymore, it was a clone of the Ti.Radical but believe me it's much much better. They use to sell it as a recreational racquet but if you replace the crappy strings and grip, it turns into a wicked frame.

I use to play with the both the Radical Trysis and the Ti.Radical but i got the Ti.Carbon from SteveI right here in TW and after some custom things I did i can't put it down.

Here's my set up for the racquet:

102 head size 18x19
4 5/8 gripe size with Tournagrip tacky
Got it up to 340 grams with lead tape (on the handle and at 3 and 9 o'clock)
Signum Pro Poly Plasma 1.23 (mains) at 58
Top Spin Cyberflash 16 (crosses) at 56

Hope all of this helps.

If you are using a longer frame right now, have you decided what length to stay with ?

If you want an extended lenght frame I can only suggest Babolat Pure Control + from the ones I have tried. There is also Prince Tour Diablo but it is a little shorter than 27.5.

Otherwise, for a larger face standard length frame, I can suggest Head Radical Agassi LE and Prince Graphite OS.

Try the Yonex RDS 003 or even the Prince 03 Speedport Black. I think you'll be oddly suprised with both the power and control found in these frame. Also, a little lead tape never hurts. I put a little in the handle and found it very useful.

i was under the impression that the closest yonex was the rq is, but now that i see the specs on the rds 003... you are a wise man. thx

OK guys...

Atilla, Oleg, dunlopfan, Scarab and Povl... thanks on sugestions...

Just to let you know, i went Yonex RDS 003, mostly because of a deal i got...

i could not care less for the brand. and that is also a nice choice given the specs on the site.

I liked it a lot. I though the specs were really interesting as I have not seen another racquet with those specs.

In the end however I chose Babolat. There is something special about the "woofer" system in babolat racquets.

There is a company called Vantage that will custom make a racquet for you. I love the babolats but I always wished it had a grip like those on Head racquets. So I had had vantage duplicate the specs of a Babolat but put a Head grip on it.

I really did not like the Vantage. it played completely different without that woofer system. I personally love babolat and no other racquet gives me the sort of feel that Babolats have.

The new "Head Monster" coming out is close in specs to your current stick.
