After 8 months (July-March), my barricade IVs have probably seen enough (worn down, especially toe area). I was unable to take advantage of the 6 month warranty because after July and August, I didn't play enough the wear them out.
Now that the tennis season has started, I think it would be an excellant time to get some new shoes and maybe I'll be able to take advantage of 6 month durability guarantees too, since we have 2 hour practices 6 times a week, or matches.
I'm looking for shoes that have enough durability to last me until the end of summer (or at least have the 6 month guarantee so I can change them sometime). The best scenario would be to have the 1st pair last till June, then I can switch to the 2nd pair for the summer.
Barricade IVs were excellant except for the weight: putting on running shoes made it feel like I was running on air. The durability of the IVs is pretty attractive. I'm looking at some lighter shoes and have looked at the wilson trance and nike max breathe cage. I'm worried thatt the breathe cage won't last long enough, as some of the feedback said that they didn't last long. Also the breathe cages are only 1 once lighter than the IV's, so I don't know whether that really will make too much of a difference. 90 bucks is probably the maximum my parents will play for tennis shoes, since I just got a new pair of mizuno's this month for running.
