If Djokovic is going to miss the Australian Open next year who else will be champion in your opinion?

I don't have to go into the details, all of you know what has been circulated in the press. Please can we not talk about the you know what's? You know where I stand, I know where most over posters stand on that situation, some agree, some disagree but that subject isn't the topic of this attempted conversation.

So in the event that Djokovic doesn't participate in the Australian Open in 2022 (He's usually the odds on favourite and has won the title more times than I can remember) who else do you think will win?

Medvedev? (There are questions over his participation)
Tsitsipas? (Same with him)
Zverev? (Same with him)

Nadal could be in with a shout, a rusty yet healthy Nadal could do damage down under.
Thiem could be there, he will play with nothing to lose one guesses.

We're witnessing potentially the most open slam in Men's tennis since 2001-2003 years on the tour.

Medvedev should be the slight favorite over Zverev in the final. My dark horse as a semifinalist would be Hurkacz as I was pretty impressed by his hard court game at Indian Wells. Maybe, Thiem will be back to make a semifinal too or otherwise Rublev. I think of Tsitsipas and Sinner doing better on slower courts.

One of Sinner’s four career titles was played on AO premises. I don’t think they slowed down the outer courts used during that 250 tuneup.

His other three titles are on indoor HCs at Sofia (2x) and at Washington, when US Open Series TDs finally wised up and offered the same Laykold formula used at USO’21 at all the tuneups. Sinner prefers s medium fast surface and even said the Antwerp surface this week plays very similarly to his favorite Sofia conditions.

Burn out by August? His only titles after May are his very first at Stockholm’18 and then a year later unexpectedly at WTF’19. So, if it’s outdoors and after the summer solstice it’s not in his wheelhouse.
