If sharapova reaches 7+majors would you rank her above both venus and Henin

Maria's career grand slam would give her the edge. Say what you will about Maria, but she accomplished a rare feat in women's tennis which shouldn't be diminished because of bitter, illogical fan feelings.

The career grand slam is overrated.

Should anyone (even thee of little brain which are the only ones who would ever think this) believe for instance Maria is better than Henin or Venus if all 3 had 7 slams due to the career slam, that would already prove why and how it is so overrated.

Head to head shouldn't be overvalued, but it is worth noting Henin and Venus were not easy opponents at all for any great. Serena included, amongst everyone else. Maria is a ridiculously easy opponent for Serena, and has a losing record by the vast majority of the top players of her era, including ones less achieved than her like Mauresmo or Azarenka.

This speaks to her lesser ability in comparision to Venus and Henin, in addition to her predominantly lesser achievements (even in the unlikely event she gets to 7 majors which she probably wont).

Depends on what the ranking is based on.

Is the ranking dependent on achievement or the rank is for who the better player is ?

It would be ranked on both, and Maria even with 7 slams (barring doing some unexpectedly great things with the hypothetical 2 majors, like spending lots of time at #1, doing well at Wimbledon where she is now useless again) is behind in both. Although further behind in ability than achievements in that case.

Sorry to say you will be in the minority.

It is not like in the past where AO was secondary.

All majors are equally valued and lack of one or two majors here hurts them.

   Another stand up comedian. Either that are you are simply just really stupid (which is also possible) and genuinely believe such an imbecile statement. Try going to a womens tennis forum, starting a poll who would rank highest with each having 7 slams, and see Maria get 12 votes out of 500 maybe.

Let me break it down for simply. In the event Maria wins 7 majors:

Edges for Henin vs Maria:

- 3 YE #1s vs almost no time at #1.
- 2 YEC titles and OGM vs 1 YEC title.
- Dominant years in 2003, 2007, even 2006, vs Maria who doesn't have a multi slam year.
- Dominance of a particular slam (Roland Garros) vs Maria who couldn't even defend a slam title once.
- Well ahead in tournament titles at the moment too.
- Only player with winning record vs Serena in slams vs Maria who is just  vs Serena. Meanwhile Maria also has a lopsided losing record vs Henin herself.

Edges for Venus vs Maria:

- 4 Olympic Golds vs 0
- Defended a slam title 3 times vs 0 for Maria.
- 2 times doing the Wimbledon-U.S Open double vs Maria who cant even win a slam in back to back years, let alone 2 in the same year.
- 5 Wimbledons vs Maria's 1, and vs Maria not having anymore than 2 at any slam venue.
- Even greater longevity than Maria as a top player.
- Amazing doubles career vs Maria's non existing one.
- Also many more WTA tournament titles at this point.

Maria edges vs Venus and Henin:

-Career Slam
the end

Not that we will ever find out since Maria is very unlikely to attain more than 6 slams anyway, so it is all moot.

If I dont accept your view I become stupid ? LOL :)

A rational poster would try to argue decently or if it is not possible just ignore . A stupid person on the other hand resorts to name calling. :)

You can choose what you want to be.

I know very well what all the three players bring to the table.

IMO, the career slam in today's world far triumphs someone else who has just 2 of the 4 majors. Period.

The difference with Henin would be still marginal. However the gulf with Venus will be as big as the Atlantic.
