If you like Asics gel resolution 2, you'll love...?

I've been using Gel resolution 2s, and love the fit and comfort (no feet or knee problems), but the durability is awful. The sole just wears out too fast to justify the $95 pricetag. Does anyone who has worn Gel resolution 2s made the switch to another shoe and found one that has more durability? I've tried Barricade IIs and Vs (and realize they get outstanding reviews), but for some reason, they cause an arch problem after two or three sessions of play, so they're not an option. Any recommendations for a shoe with the comfort and fit of Gel resolutions but with tougher soles?

Thanks.

The New Balance 900s have a similarly ultra-cushiony base and, although I just got them and have yet to give you any feedback on durability, the shoe comes with a one-year outsole warranty.

Actually Yonex has always had a better cushion and better fit than Asics. In the past they haven't held up any better than Asics. But they came out with the new 307's this year with a better endurance rubber. So far they have held up much better than past Yonex. They are worth checking out.

I bought GR2's and love them. I got them at tenniswarehouse, but as you know the durability is their one weakness.

I hate to say this, but I found another retailer that offers an exclusive 6-month outsole warranty on these shoes while selling them at the same price as tw.

I'd love to keep my business with tw, but if they don't offer something like this, I'll be buying my next pair of gr2's at their competitor.

outsole warranty

So you send the shoes back when they wear completely through the outsole, and they'll send you a new pair in four to eight weeks? Has anybody tried this, and did the store follow through as promised?

I may also try the Yonex 307s, but the color schemes I could do without.

Head Speed Pro – light, maneuverable, breathable, good looking, great cushioning – and a 6 month outsole warranty. Possibly one of the best values in tennis.

If you are talking about the store I think you guys are talking about then yes they do follow through. I bought the blk/white GR1s from them with a warranty and they followed through and I also bought Gel Challengers and once again they followed through.

The Barricades are very stiff by comparison with the Asics. If you get an arch problem with one and not the other that stiffness is likely the problem.
