Im RoOtiNg for the Swiss Miss

Hingis is the $h*t!!! So nice to her back and slap the girls around the court. She's not as mental as before and her game is just awesome to watch. I hope she makes it all the way and shows these girls how to PLAY tennis. It's so nice to see someone construct points and win with their head. The only other player I can think of that does that consistently is FedEx.

Who are you rooting for?

Martina. Man that would be awesome to see her win. I can't believe she's back. She has been my favorite since the first time I saw her play. I just hope that in this open she is hiding her serve. In other words, I hope she can serve better than she has been and will break it out when she needs it. I love how early she can hit the ball.

I don't like her, but you're right about her tennis: she brings back the classic tennis: constructing points-setting up points that was mastered by the past great ones.

I love you.you know Peter Wessels i love him too.Say, how did he go in the aus open not to well did he even play in it??i watched him at the hopman and he was playing like an awesome ant on fire.that is all.xx

I think its almost impossible for Hingis to go on and win the championship, but I really love to see her go far and at least signal to the rest that she is a TRUE CONTENDER.
Its almost an insult to the rest of the pros that she is able to go so far after 3 years of absence. Will like to really hear what the rest of the pros think about this :)

Lol.thats agood point i certainly wouldnt want ot lose to someone who hadnt played professionally in over 3 years.woohoo.that is all.xx

I used to hate her for being such a little b*^#h, and talked her down for winning slams during a dearth of top players (after most of Graf & Seles, before Davenport or the Williams got it together).

However, I have REALLY enjoyed her matches this week. She hits smart shots--some are winners, many are exactly the kind of ball her opponent DOESN'T want to hit (how many high, loopy balls did Benesova miss?).

There's a reason for why she hits every ball the way she does, she's prepared to deal with the reply, AND knows what she's going to do with the next one. And, hello!, woman tennis player AT THE NET! It seems like she goes up there more in each of these 3 quick matches more than might any two top players I can think of right now in a long 3-setter, COMBINED.

So I've got to give her some props. Wish I played more like her, and less like Pierce, but them's the facts so far.

I'm rooting for her, i think she'll have a good chance but will have to step it up a little, if she has no reserves she is done for
