Is it the BLX?

Is it the new racquet that's causing Federer to spray shots all over?

He lost his serve in the 1st when he hit an easy forehand (close to the net) out of bounds. He could have tapped it into the open court and saved the BP.

I think it could have something to do with his racquet, he's not "used" to it or something of the sort.

Could this be a factor?

You cannot be serious!!!!! :) However, it could be that he did not have enough BLX to win ;)

Are you claiming Wilson snuck some real BLX racquets into his bag because they were tired of re-painting his K90's? Some pics or other evidence please.

I blame Pete. :) Whenever they hang out, Fed always has a long bad hangover afterwards. :) It's all Pete's fault for jinxing him.

Do people really believe that pros change their racquets every time their sponsor introduces a new racquet line?

Not that it never happens, but a lot of pros are sticking with their old frames. And, even if Fed is using a new BLX, it would be an unavailable-to-the-public customized BLX, which is not different than his previous frame, or if it is different, different in exactly the way he wants it to be.

It's not the racquet.

New BLX was claimed to be a total failure, could be...

Fed said he had problem with feel on the ball. There could be something here.

Are you thinking what I'm thinking? They changed the balls purposely so that Federer doesn't get feel out of them anymore! That sneak ATP

Yes, I do mostly. Mostly to their detriment. See Djoker, Blake

wow, child.

you have a limited mind. Here's the answer:

HE WAS USING A DIFFERENT RACQUET AT THE AO!!

oh really? how do you know all this? and anyways what kind of a stupid question is this you think a stupid racket is going to stop federer, without him doing something about it? sry for hurting your feeling

rofl, very obviously immature.

He seemed comfortable with his racquet at the AO.

in IW and miami he's definably trying out something new, it is easy to tell if you are over 12 years old.

he wouldn't dare switch racquets in a grand slam, but now these "smaller" tournaments are giving him a chance to experiment

I don't think there's much difference between the BLX and his old racquet (if any).
It's all about marketing to the public - there's no way Fed would make the same mistake and play with a significantly different racquet as Djokovic did at this stage of his career.
It's Federer, not the racquet.

I can't believe people with 2000+ posts here still think hes really using any new racquet......some just never learn..

Aha , I knew it !!! Fed has developed the "Tiger Wood Syndrome" - where he has a problem with FEEL on HIS balls !!!

So what he needs to do is go out & do what Tiger did ( graaawwww !!! ) & Fed would be back to his normal high ( shanking balls everywhere when pressed by 20yr old spaniards to a decent level of tennis ).

Please , Do not blame the BLX ( though it's the UGLIEST racquet EVER made , though it's a Load of BL x , though it seems Fed never changed ( 88sq since 2004 ) - it wasn't the BLX , it was Fed.

whatever lets call if piece, i hadnt and havent still seen as much annoyance in you as the one i find in ocean drive and hedjem or whatever that juys name is point is the racket wont let him down because he is too smart too do that and i dont think he would pull an andy murray in the sense of losing matches to experiment, he values the masters still too much for that too happen
