"......Seven time Grand Slam champion Venus Williams made her major debut at Roland Garros 13 years ago. Ironically, this is one Grand Slam ( Australian Open is over, so don't bother wondering ) that has been sort of a nightmare for the current world number three. Perhaps, it is safe to say so as well, since the only saving grace for Williams on parisian clay came in 2002 when she made it to the finals and lost to sister Serena.
Today turned out to be no different as Hungarian Agnes Szavay bagled her powerhouse opponent to complete a 6-0, 6-4 win in just over an hour. Williams got a break in the seventh game of the second set but got broken right back to lose serve once again, this time for the match.....
