Is there an issue with the new ASICS Solution Speed?

Alex Di Minaur is back to wearing the previous ASICS Solution Speeds that are red and don’t match his Aussie Open outfit. He wore those in the later rounds at Rotterdam. Is there an issue with the new Speed? ASICS profusely marketed them in the orange colorway and Alex was the face of the campaign so it has me wondering why he’s not wearing the new model. Any insight would be appreciated.

So if he's not, there's probably a problem.

No idea why he wouldn't be wearing them other than he just likes the ff 2's better.

Yeah very strange as the whole launch campaign seemed to hinge on him.

The 2s are my favorite version of the Speed. The new model

The 2s were my favorite of the Speed line as well. It had decent durability and cushioning for a lightweight shoe.

I wore the speed ff3 for the 3rd time today(8 or 9th hour of play). They are super light and comfy with the runners loop but unfortunately, I was sliding around way more then I liked. Shoes are super light but I think the outsole could use a little bit more traction. On a backhand slide reaching out for a slice, I fell and near twisted my ankle. Sad to say, these will go back on the shelf and will be used for slower hard courts only. Ff2s definitely had more traction and I'm guessing this is why de minaur went back to them.
