Is this bad stringing job?

I'm waiting for a stringing machine to arrive so that I can start stringing my own racquet.

I have one racquet that has a broken string.

I'm thinking of stringing another racquet that I think has a poor stringing job quality.

I always went to the same stringing place and this is the first time I saw these on either side of the racquet frame:

I don't like the feel of this racquet. Is that one string pulled over another string the culprit???

This is how normally they string my racquet:

That doesn't effect playability at all. The string job looks sloppy done this way, but fortunately the crossovers were done at the throat side. If it was done at the head end of racquet, I would tell you to bring it back to be redone properly, but at the throat side it just looks sloppy is all. That will not effect the way it hits at all. That is an error, but not a critical one. If stringer is that sloppy, who knows what else was done that you can't see.
Nice that you will eventually be stringing your own.

In 10 years, the stringer(s) always did a good job until that one racquet. They have just increased the stringing fee too. I thought if the price is going up, the stringing quality should be up too. I guess it's time to say goodbye to them.

Are you going to the same store or the same individual to have the work done?

just to reflect what Jime said it’s a lack of attention to detail and experience from the stringer. That string job would fail someone from the professional stringers certification. But the frame should still play the same.

BTW which machine are you waiting for?

I'm not going to the stringer place again. I'll be stringing my racquets at home.
