It will be so interesting how we will do in Wimbledon. Either he kicks ass, or due to the baby and the success is not able to play his best tennis. We'll see, its so darn exciting ;)

That's what he said today.
Wait until he has the question asked 10,000 times if he can break Pete's record in upcoming slams. And gets closer to doing it during a fortnight.

But he may do a Sampras and look at his first born and decide tennis isn't all after all - and good luck to him if he does

Alright, he has a permanent breakpoint on Sampras' record. His only job now is to win Wimby/USO and he'll be free as a bird.

I think Federer's always been more fond of equaling records than breaking them, anyway. Besides which, he'll have many opportunities.

A relaxed Federer is not something opponents want to see. I wouldn't be surprised to see a resurgence in much of his game now that he can finally stop thinking "Nadal" all the time.

I think the main concern will be just transitioning to Halle and getting a match or two under his belt.

The year couldn't start worse for Fed and better for Nadal..and now it's complete tournaround.Who could have guessed?

Anyway,I really would like him to win just one more. Also if he retires because of his baby or smth *knock on wood!!!*,probably I would be too heartbroken to watch any tennis for a good while.

If he really said that his competitors need to watch out as Federer enters the renaissance period of his career.

His firstborn should be the most important thing in his life. I'd be very disappointed if he doesn't devolve much (if not all) of his time for his family.

Nadal still has 1 slam,3 MS,1 MS final and 1 ATP 500.So that's not that bad.

He still has some slams in him i think but his firstborn should be his priority number 1.

Nadal started the year by beating Fed in the final in 5.Many posters here believed that Roger was "done" should retire was too old, wasn't going to win any more slams etc etc.
A few months later, and Federer is RG champion and Nadal has gone out even before the quarters. It's not that bad ,but it's a HUGE tournaround.
