My arm hurts just thinking about that tree branch Lendl played with. To think, at one point, I used a 4 5/8 "medium" (about 13 oz. unstrung) Kramer as a junior. No wonder I don't have a shoulder now.
 
Yes, that along with Lendl's lanky arms are what made his pace deceptive, and why I think some posters erroneously think Lendl didn't hit it hard..(some think he couldn't hit as hard as Agassi!).

Lendl's would unwind those lanky arms with a pretty smooth swing, and the smooth acceleration, combined with the big weight would CRUSH the ball.

I've seen them both play up close. Who says Lendl wasn't a big hitter? That's nuts. However, I would also be one who thinks Agassi hit even harder than Lendl. Lendl hit very hard, but, his groundies were more looping with heavy topspin. Agassi's groundies were flatter and harder, and, amazingly, almost as steady as Lendl's.
