Hey can anyone confirm that James Blake is indeed using Wilson BLX 90? Here is a pic of him from the Brisbane international...

Looks like his old Dunlop racquet under a pj just look at the headshape and the little thing right above the handle looks shorter than a sixone would have

I certainly hope so...maybe he just got fed up of Dunlop, and thinks that Wilson's new BLX line of rackets will help him...who knows..... ;)

At least he can spell.

No stencil on there so I don't think he was signed, maybe just playing around with a friend's stick.

Dry, my friend.

I think James Blake is better with Wilson. Since Wilson Quality Control is proportinal to James Blake's performance. Allways inconsistent but when on the right specs it is pure gold.

LOL,great statement.
Everybody is leaving Dunlop, first was Haas that actually played better,i guess Michelin is coming out with rackets as well,LOL.

maybe he's following in tommy haas' steps and switching to a racquet that'll give him some more free power, I bet his old racquet had zero power, maybe he'll have a sweet resurgence like Haas did

I doubt it is a BLX, just a paintjob of the Tyger frame he has used his entire career, I don't see any bulge at 3 & 9 (PWS) on the frame in the photo.

Yes.. Wilson doesn't has a big american name in mens tennis using their racquets and they decided to use Blake popularity in the US to market the new BLX line. After Federer retires they will not have ''a champion'' sponsored by them because del potro isn't a big name (compared to Fed, Sampras and other champions that Wilson was endorsing).

Two things wrong with your theory:

--Wilson has Mardy Fish;
--Blake will retire much before Federer, at least based on claims Federer has made that he believes his career's only half-over, it definitely doesn't seem Blake can say the same.

wtf are you on?
champion and Blake should NEVER be in the same sentence together;NEVER!

what has Mardy Fish won that makes him stand out?
Masters Series? NO!
1 fluke slam semis years ago!
no Davis Cup
no slam win
just 3 ATP tour wins

don't remember Blake even making a slam final since he has yet to make a slam semis at the age of 30:roll:  while Del Potro has 1 slam semis(2009 FO) and he won the 2009 USO beating Federer and DelPony is just 21

I don't see anyone walking around with TR Fila apparels despite his supposed "popularity" but there's a whole bunch of people;young and old walking with their RF apparels in the good Ol US of A ;-)

I thought people said he was never using Dunlop, but a Tyger paintjob made to look like a Dunlop?

i think what was originally said by a pro stringer on these boards was that at the time (of the original discussion), the closest frame mold-wise was a tyger frame, but that his was made and designed 100% by dunlop. people ended up taking that to mean that he used a tyger frame painted as a dunlop. i think now, the "pro mold", as it were, is the basis for the aerogel 4D 300 tour, and the m-fil 2 hundred plus before it. some say the pre vo2 tecnifibres are from this mold, too. not fact on my part. just my best recollection of comments from these boards.

Dunlop isn't good anyway,i hope Pacific or Fischer hire some more players.

Dunlop has, does and will still make awasome sticks.

Your comment sounds like someone brainwashed big time by marketing.

LOL,they make good rackets to juniors, get through with their junior careers ,til they can play with a man's racket, then the juniors dump Dunlop and go where they want,LOL.
Just look at the thread of junior sponsorship and you'll se what i'm talking about. There are people dumping Dunlop like flies, and some saying that any junior can get the Dunlop Squad, any top 50,to show how desperately they need people to play with their ****tttyyy rackets.BTW,they only give 300,500T and 500,which are all c r a p.

The thing I like about Dunlop the most is that they spend almost 0$ in marketing and sponsoring juniors which then means they can be more competitive with prices and sell great sticks at reasonable prices to tennis players like me.

Dunlop has made some of the best tennis rackets in the history and still does. I couldn't care less whether or not James Blake or others are sponsored by Dunlop.

The AG 300 16x18 is a awesome stick, pretty easy to customize.
