Jankovic winning a Slam.

She has a high rank of No. 3. She's beaten or played very close all of the top players. She's been in Slam semis, and she has a nice game.

But, I actually like her chances less now than last year. Having seen a lot of her game (and it's really easy to see a lot of her game since she plays all the time), I can't see her winning a Slam. She's a great mover and decent ball striker, and good fighter. But, she only has moderate weapons and seems to want to grind out her opponents, which usually works, but won't against the very top players, unless they are off.

Don't get me wrong, she's good, and if the draw is right and she plays a good match, I guess she could win a Slam. But, I just don't see it happening. It would be nice, because she seems like a great person and good competitor.

BTW, I'm not basing my conclusion just on her 1st round win at the AO, which was pretty ugly.

Jankovic is just this year's Petrova. I don't see her winning a slam anytime soon.

I think she could win (especially the FO) if she had a serve. Of course, you could say the same of Dementieva. But for some strange reason, neither of them can serve despite playing tennis all their lives. Jankovic's racquet head speed on serve is pathetic. She's physically strong enough, so I just don't understand it.

I do, However, completely agree that she'd have to have a decent draw to actually win a grand slam, but a final appearance is a possibility

Yeah they both have some good groundstrokes, weak serve, good footwork and both playing with prince. And they play the most matche's on tour.

I don't know. I have no opinion on this subject. I just want to say that I wish her the best of luck. She seems to be a great player, and a great person off the court, so I just want to wish her the best. If she is destined to win a Slam, she will, and if she isn't, well that is a little disapointing. She has great talent, and is a great player. So, I just want to wish her the best of luck. Jankovic will win a slam if she ever will get henin losing streak off her chest than she will. Lets face it she can beat anybody on the tour,and give henin a hard time and almost beat her then she will.
