Hi everyone
I have been playing with oversize racquets all my life, but now i decided to try some of my friends mid and midplus racquets. It feels a lot better but every now and then i shank a lot more of the shots then i usually do.
I play for my school varsity team and i was wondering if you think there is a long peroid of time to adjust for the smaller sizes because my season starts in 2 months.
Also I have been looking at the nPs 95 so i was wondering if you think that a jump from a 107 sq in to a 95 is too big since im only a 3.5.

thanks

You have to remember that racquets with smaller heads quite often are heavier. If you can manage the weight, a smaller head might help your game. Don't focus on your NTRP. Play with what feels the best to you.

Not really, it takes time to get used to any racquet, big or small. I moved from a wilson 6.6 titanium 110 sq.in. to a 6.3 hammer (95 sq.in.) before finally moving on to Head light racquets. Give it time, don't be pressured by others to use midsized racquets just because it pleases your ego or makes you look cool...

It would help if you had told us what Oversize you were playing with. That said, if you can find a mid from the same company you will at least cut down on one variable, grip shape. Good luck.

i also did what you did! ive played with a 110 head for my life and then i suddenly switched to a 98 head. it didnt take that long to get used to it and now i think i play a lot better.
(i switched from a wilson hyper hammer 4.0 os to a head LM radical midplus)

Did you try the flexpoint radical? I am thinking of getting this for a friend who uses a ti radical which desperately needs to be replaced!! any comments?

Not at all! 107 is a small OS and a 95 is almost mp so it's not that big a jump down in size. I went from a 112 OS to a 98 mp, and the mp felt good right from the start. The racquet made me feel like I should have never even used OS, so make the jump and you'll be fine.
