Just some interesting data on Nadal and Fed

I think I made it clear that I didn't appreciate the OP's info as I challenged in my post that it made any valid point.
Huh? You don't like to have this information revealed? It bothers you? So what. Don't read the post.

I added info that was more relevant to me than the OP's and that led to a different conclusion.
You want to post information that you find relevant to your way of thinking, open a thread of your own. Suppose I added info that I consider relevant, such as annoying antics of players on the court. Nadal constantly picking stuff out of his butt, Federer fixing his hair, or whatever. Does that belong in this post? No! And just becaus I think its relevant, does not mean that its proper to add it to the post. Particularly when the first entry asked that people stay away from flaming other players. Which is really annoying to the other 99% of the posters.

As I collect information/data, some fun facts have come up. And please, this is not a post for a flame war between Federer and Nadal. Please just enjoy the information
Did you read this? Did you understand what it says? If yes, why are you ignoring this?

The OP uses his statistics to "demonstrate" that Fed and Nadal lose to the same kind of players (same 4). I disagree and I used other statistics to prove my point.
Statistics are just that, they are used for drawing a conclusion. If you don't agree with the conclusion that is drawn, then show using the posted statistics a different conclusion.

Now that is a friendly and informative post, and wasn't flaming. Quite interesting too, cause I haven't gotten to age groups yet, and that's probably far down the line for me as far as when i'll collect that data.

One may think it would be expected because each player essentially grew up with their age group, but the weird part is that the wins and losses straddle quite a few years.

Thanks. I'm always interested in statistics too, so I'll be very interested if you continue posting some. I'm sorry that we started on the wrong foot, I didn't mean to be that aggressive, I guess it just came out badly.

more interesting stats

Bjorn Borg has losing records to

Roy Emerson
Tim Guliksson (of Pete Sampras fame- the one who died of a brain tumor- and you may recall Pete actually crying on court [whilst WINNING- what a trooper])
Henri Leconte
John Newcombe
Wayne Ferreira

John McEnroe has losing records to
Becker
Courier
Wayne Ferreira [thats right, Wayne has a claim to fame of having a superior h2h against borg and Mac]
Ivanisevic
Korda
Krajicek
Lendl
John Newcombe
Sampras
Tony Roche
Wilander

Mac has is 2-2 with Agassi, 7-7 with borg (probably the worst crime in history for Mac because he was literally owning borg when borg retired and would probably have continued to do so on anything except clay)

Whilst Becker is 7-2 Versus McEnroe
he is 3-10 vs Agassi
and 10-11 vs Lendl
7-12 vs Sampras

and whilst Sampras is 4-5 vs Krajicek
Agassi is 4-3 vs Krajicek
and Courier is 6-1 vs Karajicek

Marcelo Rios is 2-1 vs agassi
whilst chang is 6-1 vs rios
and Sampras is 2-0 vs rios

A losing record for Borg to Henri Leconte? That is so funny especially since both matches were on clay! Has anybody here seen those matches? The French crowd must have gone wild...

Not really. Borg was already on the verge of quitting tennis. He had no more that fire inside him. Leconte was a rising prospect and displayed some of his brilliant shots. I remember Jose Luis Clerc who had lost to Borg previously saying he did not want to beat such a champion, he had too much respect for him.
