the wings are really called CATAwooferDNXpoint

like I said wings are similar to catapult and/or wooofer found on Volkl and babolat with a rib similar to DNX only on the outside which suppose to give it a flexpoint feel. SO it is a combination of all of the above. hence "CATAwooferDNXpoint" ;-)

$350???

The good news is that the $350.00 [k]'s are being made in St. Vincent...

... bad news is that it is St. Vincent, Arkansas.

Oh well!

I'm surprised this hasnt rekindled all the what is Fed really using discourse around here.

So let's see...Wlson has found a way to bond graphite with karbonBlack which is a cheap filler material used to reinforce tires....how desireable! and they are making a big deal out of it as though this is something good! hahahahahaha! to summarize, they are putting even less graphite in their frames, and more cheap filler and charging people more and tauting it some huge technological advance..talk about the marketing trifecta! make it cheaper, charge more, and give it a made up fancy name in the process

having hit with these frames, i just dont get how people think they feel like a ps85. ps85 is graphite and kevlar..and is braided at that....and it somehow feels like less graphite and more filler of the k90?

Are you kidding me, for tires!!!????

Where did you get this information, that is very sad if true, this racket just gets worse and worse:mad:

It wasnt hard to find this info..just google 'carbon black'. carbon black is used as a cheap filler/reinforcer for tires and also used as filler in plastics and composites....what I find really funny about this is the Wilson is bragging about this material as though it is something special, when it seems to be merely a means of making racquets even cheaper....

This may have been answered already, but are they still using the "nanofoam" fill in the racquet? I was a Wilson fan until the nCode racquets.

Thanks, Chris.

Can't see the video (TW fixing it tomorrow) but is the Kompact center the more open string pattern in the sweetspot?

The (K)ompact Center refers to a smaller yoke. This is something Fed was already playing with, and was one of the changes we noted in our review. The Yoke is smaller, giving the area above the handle a PS 85 look. Fed was finding improved maneuverability with this design, and when Wilson applied it to other racquets they found improved maneuverability across the range.

This is likely the main reason we found the K90 the most maneuverable Tour 90 so far.

So, Chris,

Are you saying that the yoke (the open throat or "V") part of the K90 is smaller than that on the nCode 90? Because they appear to be the same size to me, which is why I assumed that the two racquets come out of the same mold. I do see, of course, that the handle pallet on the K90 is shorter than that on the nCode 90 which makes the "neck", or the part above the handle and below the "V", longer.

Thanks

[K]razy stuff

This [K] Factor [k]rap on this forum is unbelievable. It appears Wilson have achieved their objective they set out to achieve, judging by all the hype on this forum in response to it. Forget what letter of the alphabet they used for their new ra[k]quet. What they have done is very [k]leverly created and entire theme for this line of rac[k]ets. Not content with this, they have even plastered the "[K] Factor" slogan all over their bags as well. I just bought one of the Limited Edition Federer Super-6 Bags (White) and the [K] is very prominent. One thing I will say, they have done excellent mar[k]eting on this [K] theme. But honestly, they could put the label [K]rap on their racquets and bags, and people would still buy them because Federer uses it and endorses it. All you lot are doing is just letting the Wilson mar[k]eting buffs sit back and smile at a job well done :)
