Karen Khachanov appreciation thread.

This guy is going to win at least 2-3 Grand Slam titles.

He has a really powerful game, which will be honed to precision within the next two years.

Cynics will argue that he's a so-called ''talentless ball-basher'', but those with a shrewd eye for tennis will see how he creates those angles which let his forehand secure the point.

Expect big things from Karen in 2019.

Dont see anything special about him. Djokovic destroyed him at Wimbledon and should have lost even fewer games than he did.

Other than Rafael ''Rafa'' Nadal, Novak ''Nole'' Djokovic destroyed everyone at Wimbledon this year, so your point is not valid criticism.

The only other players that he dropped a set against were Edmund and Nishikori.

A lot of the tennis bobbleheads on TV like him, too. Brad Gilbert's having a bromance with him. The McEnroes always mention him. But every time I see his name I think of Leif Shiras predicting a KK win over Rafa at Monte Carlo! He must've been sipping on a Campari. I haven't seen him often. Maybe 3 matches. I thought he was okay. I don't see him as a top 5. I maybe 8-15 max, which is pretty great. No slam wins, but he'll be a spoiler for a top 5 once or twice or more. He'll win some decent tourneys over his career. There's a reason very tall, muscular guys don't win slams/reach the top 5. There's a lot of running/jumping, so agility is incredibly important. More important than muscle (but don't tell JMac & BGil that.)
