Kirschbaum Pro Line II and/or Luxilon Fluoro?

Ordered a set of the Kirschbaum Pro Line II 17g ( http://www.tennis-warehouse.com/descpageAC-PL2125.html ) and the Luxilon Big Banger ALU Power Fluoro ( http://www.tennis-warehouse.com/descpageACWILSON-BALUFL.html ).

I'm going to be putting one of them in my Yonex RDX500 Midplus as the mains with Yonex 850 Feel as my crosses. I typically use the Yonex 850 Feel multifilament at around 57 pounds for the entire racquet.

Two questions:

1) Which of the two polys listed above is the better poly if talking about feel? (I know feel and poly don't usually go together but which offers the best feel)

2) What tension would suggest stringing the poly and the multi at to start with?

Hybrid them if you cant decide, jkin, but I think Pro Line II has a better feel. When stringing a new string I always like to do mid tension plus 3 pounds, because I like higher tensions.

I've tried both as soon as I could grab them. Really I agree with kirbster123 that PRO LINE II has a better fell, gave me more power and did not drop dead for long. Awsome string!

PRO LINE II is my favorite string so far, it has great access to power and spin, with a excelent feeling every time I hit the ball. I have played with it for about 8-10 hours in the past week and it is still going strong, very little string movement. For the red color, i guess it is an interesting change of look for me. I strung with 58 Lbs and it feels great.

I love the Pro Line string too. Does anyone have any problems when stringing the mains ? The main strings slip off my fixed clamps ( I have a professional stringing machine) and I had to repeat the mains about 3 times until it clamps. Any one has similar problems ?

You string straight Pro Line II? Does it feel stiff?

I would go with the pro line 2. It definetly has a better feel.

I have not tried the pro line yet. But the flouro is just a wonderful string. I have the 17 and it is just wonderful. Crisp and easy on the arm. Great access to spin. I have Prestige mids and strung the flouro at 56 lbs and it was just soft enough on the arm with still enough of a crisp feel to it. Tried it at 50 and it was just too soft...

Fluoro lost tension quickly for me, but felt great until that point.

Also try Kirschbaum Competition 1.20 at 51/48 full poly: soft, lot of feel and surprising power.

kirshbaum strings are on another level. i've tested many, many polys at various tenses and gauges. i've def. found my thrill on blueberry hill w/ kirshbaum pro line II 1.2mm at 53lbs on my APD.

pro line II: soft, huge kicking topspin, powerful, slice friendly, great tension maintenance, no string movement-the TOTAL package. i'm getting a reel .

kirshbaum competition is very, very similar to it, though, and a bit cheaper.

luxilon ain't got nothing on kirshbaum and lux is pricey,pricey.

how would you compare the kirshbaum pro line II compare to the signum pro poly plasma? I play the plasma, but am seeing some nice things about the kirshbaum pro II. Is it a tremendous difference? The poly plasma doesn't offer much in terms of power, so would the pro line II be in a different league in this respect? What about feel, control, etc - how do the strings compare here?

FYI: here on TW you can get 3 packs of Pro Line II (17g) for the price of two. In other words, for 25 bucks you get 3 packs of Pro Line II, which is 8 bucks a pop. That's cheap for a string that is being raved about unanimously.

I haven't tried it however. I'm gonna stick it in the mains with Tonic 15L at 56/58 (or so) in a K90.

i have played w/ sppp 1.18 and would say that in terms of power, the pro line II is significantly better. W/ regard to feel, again the pro line II is softer and feels a little better.

these 2 strings def. feel quite different, although i must say i did like sppp 1.18 and can understand why the stringforum ratings were so high.

apparently the topspin cyberflash,which also happens to have great ratings, has tremendous power, if i'm remembering correctly, though I've not used it.
