Lacoste Signs 13 New Tennis Players to Wear the Brand

Watch for a big infusion of Lacoste this year and maybe a little more variety. The company recently announced that thirteen new players are joining the team. ATP players new to the brand include: Dudi Sela (ISR), Julien Benneteau (FRA), Thierry Ascione (FRA), Gaston Gaugio (ARG), Federico del Bonis (ARG), Jesse Huta Galung (NL), Milos Raonic (CAN), David Souto (VEN) and Julien Obry (FRA). New WTA players include: Aleksandra Woziak (CAN), Vera Dusevina (RUS), Yaroslava Shedova (KAZ) and Mallory Cecil (USA). These players will join Andy Roddick (USA), Stanislas Wawrinka (SWI), Sam Stosur (AUS) and Dominika Cibulkova (SLO), who already wear the brand on and off court when "working." I've also seen Vania King (USA) and Gisela Dulko (ARG) wearing the croc.

I know a couple of these people but are there any that could make a big impact for the franchise?

Insteresting, Soutto leaving Nike for Lacoste ... I wonder if Babolat had anything to do with it, being Babolat and Lacoste both french brands.

LOL! Thanks for the correction. I had just finished watching a clip on the ATP site and hated his outfit even more. I then hopped on to TT and the first new post I saw was in this thread!

Well Sela is 24, so I don´t if I agree on the fact that he´s over the hill - the other´s might be close. Anyway, not huge signings in my opinion. They could still use some blockbusters besides from Roddick and Wawrinka

They could sign the entire Pro tour. If they don't drop the PRICE significantly,,,it won't sell........

David Souto was as high as 10th in the world in the junior ranking, he is only 17yo and just have played a few ATP tournaments, right now is on the 600 something in the ATP ranking, I wouldn't say he is not a great player, at least not just yet.
