'What Do You Care What Other People Think" by Richard Feynman.
What do you mean by that?

Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad.
This one should be mandatory in every European school.
Full series: "A Song of Ice and Fire" by George R. R. Martin.

2g of lead tape at 3 and 9 and a leather cover and that book will start to work for you!
(you'll be able to plow throught it no probelms at all)

Seriously, though, does this guy love to kill off your favourite characters or what?
I may very well read it; I just didn't understand what catcher in the rye has to do with the Mtv generation. Nevermind that.
About to dive into Crucible of Gold by Naomi Novik, which just came out yesterday. I'm easily swayed by the guys over at Penny Arcade, which is how I first stumbled upon the Temeraire series. It's sort of an alternate history telling of the napoleonic wars from the perspective of a British naval captain... but with dragons. They really do make everything better.
If what happened at the end of A Dance with Dragons is true...I might cry.
