Likhovtseva uses Nxt?

I was reading the most recent pro equipment logs from the 2005 French open when I noticed an unexpected entry(For me at least). It has Elena Likhovtseva listed as using Wilson Nxt 16 at a noticeably low tension of 50.5/48.5. It seems that everytime I see her playing, she has that yellow string on her prostaff. Did Wilson manage to sneak in this extra "endorsement"? Did she just fill up a form and then turned it in? Or, was she really playing with this string in this tournament? This kind of shook my faith a little bit on the accuracy of these logs. Does anyone have any inside scoop on this?

the tension figure isnt that low, because pros get frames strung everyday, so that tension strung at, is exactly what they are goign to play with, its not that they have to use it a week form the time it is strung.

For the string it's not correct. She uses Kirschbaum Spiky 125 with 22/21 kp, that's 48.4/46.2 lbs.

Jura,

bang on. I did 1 rqt for her at Wimbledon at the spec you've stated. The string was also pre-stretched.

Hey Skippy!

Try the TF Spinfire Maxipower for mains and TF X-One Biphase 1.24 for crosses on the T.Fight 315. Just brilliant!

I use NXT16 and I'm finding that they actually get tighter through time. I think the mains and crosses begin to stick together and that's why they feel tighter. It takes quite a while for the strings to begin to stick together as it takes me a long time to break strings. Anyone else experience this?

Jura, thanks for the heads up on that combo. I've strung 1 of my TF315's with alu power mains (51lbs) and VS team 17 (54lbs). Def more more and stiffer feel than with the hurricane. Once you go back to the hurricane you can feel the softness of it.

I'll change from the gut to the TF X-1 during the winter months though.
