Help, Know Anything Similar?

Hey, i play with a tecnifibre tfight 325 and i like it alot... but i need a new racquet. Im looking for a racquet just like it though exept lighter. The 325 is around 12 o. and it hurts my wrists. Does anyone know a good racquet similar to the tfight 325 but lighter?

Thanks,
Jay:rolleyes:

You don't need a new raquet and you know it

Seriously, get softer strings or something...

ur right i honestly dont need a new racquet... but my mom need a racquet and she really likes mine. So she really wants to take my racquet and buy me a new one(im seriously against it but it doesnt matter). The problem with my racquet is the grip is a 4 1/2 and i need a 4 3/4. Also i need a lighter racquet. No, im not looking to stay within the tecnifibre family. I just need a racquet similar but lighter.... Im into control to tell you the truth.

why would a heavier racket hurt your wrists? it's probably because your wristing your shots way too much. but...if you really want a new racket you might want to try out some Prestige MPs (LM or FP)

yeah i was wristing my shots a little bit. the so few times i did/do it though is pretty painful and you cant help but to wrist some shots..... Any specific ones? all the ones i see are strung 50-62lbs, i string my racquets at 63lbs. Also i ushually like a 27 1/2 length.i like this one but its a bit heavy, im looking for 10 ounzes or so. http://www.tennis-warehouse.com/descpage.html?PCODE=FXPP

Thanks so far

10 oz is gonna kill your arm. Stick with the 12 oz and stop wristing, or build up your wrist. goign to a 10oz is going to cost you your elbow/shoulder

Hey there everybody!

Master 241, listen to every body here, there all giving you good and sound advise.

I did the same thing as you, i had a stiff 12oz racquet with an all poly setup, and a grip that was way to small ( Im a 4 1/2 but i used 4 1/4), with too much wrist action. I dropped that racquet, and picked up a much lighter racquet, and after a weel I got a horrible bout of TE.

After all this i ended up ( on the advise of a tennis pro ), getting a LM Prestige MP, with a 4 3/8 grip ( happy medium), with head fibergel power 17g strings, and worked on cleaning up my stokes with and instructor. Pain all gone, and Im playing better thann ever ( beating people I could never beat before ). I even ended up moving to the LM prestige mid, and I never have really used a midsize before, now tennis is truly a joy! The right setup is paramount ( remember, everybodies physiology is different, so demo different 12oz racquets ), but when you find the right setup, youll be beggin to play everyday, and youll never worry about your wrist or elbow again!

Good luck!

Consider any Volkl. They are all designed by a secret task force of men with advanced degrees in both materials engineering and ergonomics, who live together monastically in an underground lair in Bavaria and subsist on nothing but the Earth's healing energy. Any racquet in their lineup will heal your wrist overnight, and you will also be better than Jesus (who is a solid 5.5), except at drop shots, because Volkl's have no touch.
