I always wished that I could have seen more of her game than the very few videos at Youtube. And of course, her Doubles games with Margaret Osborne DuPont. They were both all court players who, together with Doris Hart, Pauline Betz, Shirley Fry and later, Maureen Connolly, ruled the courts across the continents for a whole generation.

She accumulated quite a treasure trove of championships in spite of her missed opportunities in grand slam play during the 1940's because of World War 2. Lived quite a long life, as did Margaret. As well it should end.

Her era is, like in the men´s tour, one of the hardest to play on.Marble,Dupont,Brought,Fry,Hart and Gibson with GOAT candidate Mo Connolly on top.
