M-Fil 300 Starting Point - Stringing?

Hi,

Looking for insights on a good starting point for a string set-up for the Dunlop M-Fil 300. There has been talk that is frame can feel a bit on the harsh side at higher tensions and to stay with softer strings. Any feeback would be great. Give me your fav set-ups etc. Where you started and where you are now in the process of finding a solid set-up. Thanks all!

Steve

Just re-strung mine with signum pro poly plasma mains and wilson extreme synthetic gut crosses- at 55 and 56 lbs - was fine on my dodgey elbow (mind you poly plsma is a soft poly) and that was done at the lowest reccomended on the racket

Hi,

Can you tell me what tension you are stringing the alu power rough 16 and if you are using differnt tensions for the mains and the crosses. Thanks again..

Anyone else?

Steve, my son strings his MFil300 with ALU power rough at 50lbs and he can generate lots of power with this setup but he's only a baseliner. I would guess that for more control on volleys you'd need to string it a few pounds tighter but not over 57lbs since it's poly.

Hi,

Thanks for taking the time to post this information. Saves some effort and time if you have a few ideas before select string and tension. Some have stated that this frame plays a bit better with softer strings.. at higher tensions or ploys at lower tension.
Anyone else?
