I recently started a new Tennis Director job, part of the package is a small retail place and a new friend is letting me use his stringing machine. I think it is a little older, electric floor model and the name brand appears to be 'Mutual Power.' I have strung a lot of racquets in my day, mostly with hand crank machines, but did do a few last year at another resort that was electric. I have never had string break while stringing a racquet before. However, with this machine I'm using, the strings are literally breaking almost every time I string and it's ******* me off and obviously getting costly at the same time. It appears that it pulls the string too hard. Has anyone else ever had a problem like this and is there maybe a way to fix it? I'm about ready to give up on it.
