Master Series Needs Better Scheduling!

Semi-Pro
The masters series are by design significant energy sappers for the pros. The players have to play 7 grueling matches in one week. Granted a lot of the top seeds get a bye in the first round, that is still 6 matches played consecutively from Tuesday to Sunday!

Just look at all the players, by the time the semis or the final comes around, most of the players are not able to perform at the top of their game.

The level that they play at is so high and demands so much of their body, you need at least a day's rest, if not two days, in order to play your best.

Look at the Indian Wells tournament this week. By the semis Murray's body simply was too sore and tired to give Novak a competitive match.

You see the same thing with Novak and Federer's match today. Novak was missing serves left and right. Federer was one step slower on a lot of routine forehands. His serve overall was a few mph slower. Even though he still made a match of it, going the distance, but his energy level clearly dropped off significantly by the beginning of the third set.

The match between Halep and Jankovic, heck it took Halep almost 2 sets before she got her second wind back. And she's only in her early twenties!
