Match for Yonex RD Power 7 Long

I play a Wilson Hyper Pro Staff 6.1 but recently hit a friend's Yonex RD Power 7 Long....loved it. Particulary the solid feel that also yielded power without a loss of control. Can't find one anywhere. Need help identifying a more current Yonex with the same characteristics. Thanks.

How about an RD Power 10 long, I've heard the feel is almost identical. I've got one in great condition strung with BDE gut mains/ sensation crosses, I'll let you have it for $60 if you're interested. It's a great hitting frame.

BTW, MWV I can definitely say you'll have trouble finding a current yonex that plays like the rd powers because the new yonexes are way too light and have ti and other materials. The old ones that were heavy with 100% graphite were stable and solid. I don't think yonex will ever make another racquet that hits like those old ones.

I agree with @wright -- the 100% graphite models were some of the sweetest rackets I ever hit with.

Wright: I'll see if I can find a find a Power 10 to hit with, if so and it is pretty much the same, I would be interested. Brad, which RD Power long and how much $?

Some says RDX 300 MidPlus feels like somewhere
between Power 7 and 10.
But they are 1-2 oz lighter, strung.
I've only hit with Power 10 and RDX 300.
RDX 300 can not be as stable as power 10 due to its lighter
weight but has that yonex solid feel...

RD Power 7 match

I called Yonex. They say the closest match is the V-Con 17 mid +. Can anyone confirm or deny? They also mentioned the new RDX 500 - but said it was modeled after the RD 7.

try a Ti30 Long: 27.5 x 95, 16 x 19, just under 12 ounces strung, SW around 340, about 4 points headlight. Discontinued, cheap in the used market but rarely mentioned in this forum. Just didn't sell.
