Just a quick question, did you ask the other guy if you could video the match because I also play high school tennis for Crescenta valley and I'm not sure if the coaches would let me video or if it would be considered a distraction?

This is one of my favorite drills to do. Have one player run the other guy back and forth in baseline rallies and have the other player loop everything back to the middle. Then you alternate.

I'm pretty sure I heard the phrases "come on!" and "let's go!" more times in the first minute of the first link, than I've ever said in 7 years of playing tennis.

And that justifies being a tool on court? You're obviously good, there is no questioning that. But, for the sake of the people you play against, I hope you're a little more mature on court now than you were then.

I don't act like that on court all the time if you watch all my other videos. There was an argument over a line call in the first set so part 1 of that video and then I got fired up and ready to roar.

I just looked at that and believe me after a minute it gets worse. I was cringing just watching it. Im all for getting pumped up but that was just annoying.
*Opponent hits a shot out
"Cmonnnnnn, lets goooooo!
*Proceeds to double fault

I've been there before, plenty. Trust me. But I've never found getting loud and rowdy to work for me.

My senior year of high school (2012) I was playing the district consolation finals where the winner moved on to the state tournament as the 3 seed out of our district and the loser went home.

During the match there were 4 emotional outbursts: my opponent yelled "Come on!" when he won the first set, I said "Let's go!" when I won the second, and he screamed "Yes!" after my missed forehand went out on match point while I broke a racquet and tried to hold back the waterworks.

The point is, there's no reason to get so emotionally invested in every point. At times, yeah, I can see getting into it like that, but not every single one.

In general, I'm WAY more calm than that. It's just that in the heat of the moment over that one line call, I got really ticked off but I understand what you mean.

3-6, 6-4, 6-7 (12). It's been nearly 2 years, and I'm over it now, haha. The kid I played ended up playing D1 tennis, for at least his freshman year (I think he's quit since then). I grew a lot as a player from that match though.

Dang, I can understand the disappointment after such a close match when you could have snatched victory. Again, sorry to hear about that but it sounds like all is well now

Yeah. Everyone has to lose sometimes, it's about how you pick yourself up and get better than determines how good you'll get.
