Monfils... just a bit arrogant?

He's a one-dimensional player with very little to offer to the game of men's tennis other than a nice personality and a huge serve. No way will he be top 10 let alone top 20 30 40 or 50....

Sounds like he will be another Gael Monfils according to that evaluation. So Monfils was dissing one of his soon-to-be peers then. ;)

Black people aren't arrogant. It ain't bragging if it's true.

We allamericans, so we knows how to call a spade a spade.

The truth hurts but at least we don't lie.

Right on.

Who and what are you?

And this "we" thing, speak for yourself because "we" don't know each other.

Please get your act together.

I was at that match and watched it in person. Monfils is definitely a better all around player. He can do everything; grind, serve, volley, hit winners, work the point. All Isner did was serve, volley, and smash the forehand. Unfortunately for Monfils, this was all Isner needed to do to win. Monfils woulda had him easy on a slower surface.

Yes, and if the dog hadn't stopped to pee, he would have caught the rabbit.. If's don't mean anything. Yes, Monfils would probably beat him on clay. But all that matters today is that Isner beat him on Hardcourts. It is no longer boring slow clay season, it is exciting fast court season.:p

shows how much you know about tennis, the boring slow clay season is where players get most of their points. clay season is not boring in the least, cause the clay is where it really test your ability to grind on long matches to really work out the points and to put that mental feature in your game. heck anyone can smash winners and hit big serves, in clay its all about construction of the point.

but the us open series is the new in thing new, is it really going to be that exciting. what is federer and nadal going to decide who wins which masters and then have another federer- nadal final. yep that is really intersting all right.

Monfils was serving for the match. He would have had him if here were a bit less fragile mentally. Monfils is a bottler.
