More Impressive - Nadal's 8 X 2 or Federer's 5 X 3 or Federer's 3 X 4

What do you think is the more impressive achievement:

Nadal reaching at least 2 grand slam finals in a year in 8 different years
(2nd Best is 6 years, which Federer achieved)

Federer reaching at least 3 grand slam finals in a year in 5 different years
(2nd best is 3 years - Borg and Djokovic. Nadal has 2 years)

Federer reaching all 4 grand slam finals in a year in 3 different years
(Only Laver even achieved this once in the open era - of course, he won all four)

Well Nadal's is impressive I'll give you that. He is showing amazing slam consistency.

But the third is more impressive IMO.

They are both impressive to me. I can't decide which is more impressive though.

Federer's 3x4 is the most impressive to me. in fact, its probably THE most impressive record of all records. imho.

Agree. It is not easy to reach all 4 slam finals in a season once, let alone 3 times. Even the mighty Rafael Nadal could not do it (so far).

Only Laver has accomplished this feat in the Open Era. And even he did not do it 3 times.

But to his credit he won the Calendar Slam just that one time he reached all finals

8x2 is more impressive to me.

OTOH, I would say winning[/B] 3 slams a year in 3 out of 4 years (04,06,07) is more impressive than any of the 3 records listed here
