Murray targets return to singles by the end of 2019

Virginia Wade called him a drama queen a few years back. She may have had a point.
Poor Ginny, she was top of our tennis royalty, and then came Andy, in a flash instead of a Queen we had a King..
Being a quintessential English gall she detests the fact that a tyke from Scotland could win Wimby.
The green eyed monster took over, poor Ginny, the gall who couldn't come out, too posh by half.
They hated Perry too, from oop North with a nasty accent to boot.

The "quintessential English gal" has been living in the US for years. What I never knew until recently was that she was already living there at the time she won Wimbledon!

On the other hand, the 'tyke from Scotland' has never left Britain (except for a 2 year stint in Spain when he was a young teenager)!!

Go figure which one is the truer Brit.

Stan only really showed his best form this RG and he had surgery albeit on his knee post Wimbledon 2017.

Many players have returned to play after lesser surgeries. But after a hip replacement like Murray? That's another level of troubles. Bo Jackson tried to return to baseball after his hip replacement (or was it a knee) and was not particularly successful. But that was decades ago and replacements are far more common and successful now. I think it would be really cool if Murray could come back, ...but, sad to say, I wouldnt bet on more than a token 'good-bye' round at the majors.

Murray should come back if he can be competitive against Top 20 or Top 50 level or whatever. It is silly and selfish to come back just to make a farewell appearance and get crushed at Wimbledon.

Taking bets on which body part is gonna fail next with his technique...

He may be able to return to good form when practicing. But he really wont know how competitive he can be until he begins to play in matches that count. I hope his comeback is interesting - but not sad.
