What's the purpose of the "dimples"? Nike had the CB's with the "pimples" that I think a lot of people didn't like.

I haven't seen this "dimple/pimple" technology cross over to other sports' shoes (that I can think of). Is it only tennis shoes? Why?

reminds me of the nike breath free 2's, there is probably mesh or some sort of material in the dimples to create more breathablity, something the b v's seemed to lack. i didnt like them when i saw them at first on a different thread, but now that i see them up close they have grown on me, hope they are just as good as the bv's cause those are great shoes

They better not discontinue them. I love the v's. I get complements all the time on mine too. I don't like the 6's and if they discontinue the V's I will be looking at prince and Nike shoes to replace them.

Not true. The BVI presser said that 5,000 will be sold. Looks like only European shops are getting them. I haven't seen any indication from any of the leading US retailers/websites. I pre-ordered a pair from a Euro site, don't feel like waiting until July for the white/black.

They look long too. He doesn't seem to be wearing them in the practice photo. Why did they seem to stand out so much at IW??? Surely that would have been noticed at other tournaments.

They will most likely make him a custom pair because i'm pretty sure he's wearing the retail ones since the tongue of the shoes isn't beefed up like on Djokovic's Geniuses. And i think he was expected to wear the new shoes here.
