Hello, i need help, i was interesting in buying a k90, but when i read the specs the k90 says 9pts HL, in my N90 says 12pts HL.
So.. the N90 is more headlight? or TW is wrong? i thougth that the 2 had the same specs

the n90 says 12 points HL because thats the measurement when it's unstrung.

K90 has a higher swingweight and 1mm thicker beam. Although since Wilson has crap QC you wont know what to expect

The n90 is more HL. I held and swung both my n90's and Samster's K90's and you could tell the difference. Both had a dampner and one Wilson overgrip so the 'modifications' were the same to stock sticks. I didn't hit with his k90--but I could tell that is was heavier in the head than the n90.

Hope this helps...

I believe TW also posts the specs of the average of all the rackets they have. I could be wrong, though. I have read where people have questioned why TW's specs are not the same as other online sellers and the reply, I believe--was that TW takes the average and posts that online in the specs department.

thanks! now i have to search for a n90 then.. but they so difficult to find

It is hard to find old racquet frames and aside from the cosmetic appearence, it's hard to know how much hitting abuse they've taken.
Why not demo a K90 with some lead tape and see if it isn't close enough in feel for you?

^^^Sorry, but I got the racquets reversed.
However, I went back to the Wilson nSix-One Tour 90 Review from TW and this is the data they provide:
Technical Specifications
Length 27 inches 69 centimeters
Head Size 90 square inches 581 square centimeters
Weight 12.4 ounces 352 grams
Balance Point 12.375 inches
31 centimeters 9pts Head Light
Construction 17 mm Straight Beam
Composition 10% nCoded Hyper Carbon / 70% nCoded High Modulus Graphite / 20% Kevlar
String Pattern 16 Mains / 19 Crosses
Babolat RDC Ratings
Score Grade
Flex Rating 66 Range: 0-100
Swing Weight 330 Range: 200-400

Here is the TW data for the K90:
Technical Specifications
Length 27 inches 69 centimeters
Head Size 90 square inches 581 square centimeters
Weight 12.5 ounces 354 grams
Balance Point 12.375 inches
31 centimeters 9pts Head Light
Construction 18 mm Straight Beam
Composition nCoded High Modulus Graphite / Carbon Black
String Pattern 16 Mains / 19 Crosses
Babolat RDC Ratings
Score Grade
Flex Rating 67 Range: 0-100
Swing Weight 336 Range: 200-400

That's right. Both racquets are 9 points head light. The swing weight is only 6 grams higher in the K90.

So have you acturally demoed the K90?

Yes, i had a K90 before.. but i don't see the diference really, just that the K90 is slightly more powerfull than the N90...
The specs that TW gave to you surely is from the racquet that is already strung... because mi N90 says 12pts HL in the throat

To me, the n90 swings heavier than the K90. It always took a lot of effort for me to swing the n90 consistently over a long period of time, but less so with the K90. The n90 feels like it has more weight in the throat area. Whether or not they really have the same balance I'm not sure and it's not even that important since two racquets with the same balance and weight can still have very different swingweights and dynamic feel on the swing due to differences in the weight distribution, and the n90 and the K90 definitely have different weight distributions.

BTW, all specs printed on the frame are for unstrung, while all specs on TW's product pages are for strung. 12 pts. HL unstrung = 9 pts. HL strung.
