Nadal has the GREATEST win percentage in history of tennis

someone could argue that Nadal deciding to not play so many tournaments when injured and avoid losses increased his winning percentage. Whereas, Federer, as the greatest ambassador the sport has ever has, might have played in tournaments when

physically and/or mentally he shouldn't have and lost and decreased his winning percentage.
The slacker dodged his obligation to serve his country and claimed an "injury" to his back, so enough with the fanboy claptrap.

its because he's only 28 and still in his prime years, would love to have seen Roger's percentage when he was 28, those numbers will come down if Rafa is to play to Rogers age. This is why Borg's is still so high because he retired early and quit in his prime years.

Bingo! I can't wait for Nadal fans to go through what Federer fans have when Nadal reaches 30+. Age: one of the things even Nadal won't be able to overcome.

This is hilarious. How can you "fake" an injury when you get an official diagnosis? Do you think he just told the Swiss military "Um, I have a bad back so I can't fulfill my military service" and they said "Oh okay" and that was that?

Ugh no! Again, Federer's percentage has not suffered much in the past few years. What hurts Federer is the beginning of his career, where he struggled to find his footing among the game's best.

Federer has never exceeded 83% at any point for career win percentage. Do the math yourself.

As for Nadal, give the guy some credit for being an all-time great. I agree that Federer deserves GOAT status until his 17 majors are eclipsed, but Nadal is one of the top two or three players of all time!

Federer, Sampras, and McEnroe would all have much, much higher win percentages if same number of tournaments were on grass as on clay. Much, much higher.

Also, Federer would have slightly higher numbers if hard courts and indoor courts still played fast like when he first started his career.

Sure, I don't disagree with this. Federer's grass percentage is an awesome 87 percent, significantly higher than Sampras, Borg, Laver and yes Nadal.

Federer probably wouldnt have better stats but quite frankly a lot worse because his earlier competition was filled with a lot of power hitters and they would probably benefitied a lot more from the faster conditions and shorter ralies.

I disagree. Roddick, Tsonga, Berdych, Isner, and Del Potro all have huge power games and Federer owned them. Yes, there may be the occasional upset but Federer's overall win stats would have improved.

What's hillarious is that on one hand, something of a physical nature was able to keep him out of mandatory service to his country ($$-got to grab that prize money sitting there on the table for the taking!) while on the other hand, Fed gets to go traipsing off to engage in a professional sporting career that is extremely challanging physically.

You're right DTL, it is hillarious...his friends in high places....."pssst, he'll bring visibility to Switzerland so let's give him a pass," etc.

C'mon DTL, admit it: he's a slacker, plain and simple :)

its easy to have a winning percentage when you cheat. sorry no respect will ever be earned by him for me

sorry guys just how i feel...dont mean to offend...we are all owed our opinions

The blatant accusation that Nadal cheats is despicable. Nadal does practice gamesmanship, but this by no means directly correlates with cheating.
