Nadal new tactics

He's gonna be ultra aggressive next tournamants, I tell ya. 2-3-4 CC forehands and he'll go for a DTL. Nobody except a fully fit Nole can deal with this tatics. Gonna win Rome and RG without dropping any set.

Must say, I can't see anything new here. Although I see he's gone from wife-beaters back to t-shirts.

(Is he not also in the draw for Hamburg?)

Nice joke! Nadfans have never expected any form of Nole to deal with Nadal! Just go by the results, 22-10 since 2011!

Step up and knock those short TP's into the corners! BTW, have people noticed that Thiem hit topspins deeper into the court than Nadal! No surprise there, since he hits them harder!

Cant wait for him and the "Lines Judge Sniper" to finally meet again. This will be their third match in two years because they cant win like Tsi at the wtf.

Its been a while since someone put Djockstrap in his place, for once i will be rooting for the guy with a magic lamp in the back of his shorts (rub three times and your wish is granted).

The thing with new tactics is that, in the crunch (ie, 5th sets) players revert to old habits and throw new tactics out of court.

So in the crunch, Nadal will still go cross-court, and Djokovic will be waiting!

Not sure if it's a new tactic or not. Nadal has been using his "battering ram" strategy for years. I think Rafa's forehand on clay is arguably the most devastating weapon in tennis history.

Nothing too new. Nadal needs to shorten points everywhere not only to save his body wear and tear but because he is not as fast and devastating in drawn out rallies as he once was. Definitely looking for a lot of aggression on the first ball after the serve from bull.

are you saying that in the crunch we can expect from Novak:
- DF on matchpoint
- hitting easy overheads into the net
- touching the net
- hitting linesmen in the throat
- throwing rackets carelessly with risk of injury for people around

Aggressive games are always the best to watch. He has became more aggressive over the years, and he will benefit from it long term, but it also is devastating to the opponent when he is on.

Sure, from time to time he will have days like Fed has had as he ages, but when Rafa is on playing aggressive, no one can beat him.

22-10 since 2011; won last 3 majors against Nadal; spanking Nadal mercilessly in that highly anticipated '19 AO F.

Nadal choked over and over again in clutch moments, and not only against Nole. Remember those tiebreaks lost against Federer and Thiem? If Nadfans don't remember, I'll oblige and remind them!

What's remarkable about the tiebreaks Nadal lost recently to Djokovic, Federer and Thiem is that, most of them weren't even close. Go check youtube, and you'll see that's exactly true!

At least we can be sure Nadal is consistent in tiebreaks!

Sure he can handle Moya as a sparing partner, but can he handle The Musetti Stalion???

(Yeah. He can.)

Novak needs to get to those tiebreaks first.
We remember how he performed on a simple overhead, when he had a possibility to get a break up in the deciding set.

let's not run ahead of the train.
the event is around the corner, and we will see how the guys perform there.

simply because of what you post Novak won't perform any better, and Rafael won't be scared of Novak.

Nadal in practice vs. Nadal in match-play is a completely different animal
