and Isner has never beaten Rafael.....and neither have the Zverev brothers....
Isner has never beaten Rafa in a tour event, but he did beat him in the Laver Cup. I think his matches are always dangerous for the opponent because he usually holds serve easily and that puts pressure on his opponents serve. Anyway, it is what it is. All I can say is Vamos Rafa!!!!

It would be nice if he won, but there is no must about it. He doesn't have to do anything. He has nothing to prove. You shouldn't judge Nadal by the standards and goals that Djokovic sets for himself, to him it's only about winning. He has to be seen to beat the rest. IMO Rafa doesn't think like that, he has never measured his success against that of his competitors. His goal has always been to improve as a player.

Please do not get this wrong. He does not have to because it is his claim. I do not mean that. But I also want him to stay successful. He is one of my current top 3. Behind Djokovic and Delpo. And if the two do not compete, I'm always for Nadal. Because of Federer. He just has to win. I just want that.

Yeah, they were talking about it in todays match after he won his first set. Thankfully no signs of any wrist issue all throughout. He did have taping on both wrists but he has mentioned in past that he does that because of sweating and in humid conditions. Good win tonight. I'm a little anxious about next match with Kyrgios. He had treatment done in the wrist, he said the first days it was quite painful but in the end it was nothing serious."

Kyrgios served very well in the 1st set yesterday against Seppi not so much in the 2nd set. Seppi is not really a good yardstick to judge how good anyone is playing because he’s got an OK flat game which doesn’t really task the opponent too much. Rafa will have to do well with his ROS but I don’t think he should have too much problems with the rest of Kyrgios’s game. If Rafa plays well in the 1st set, Kyrgios will go into his antics mode. So the first set is key.Rafa whomped him 6-2 6-1 in their last tour meeting in Beijing. He'll do just fine.

The Anantapur Sports Academy (ASA) website: ¤¤ The Rural Development Trust (RDT)* established the Tennis program in partnership with Rafa Nadal Foundation in 2010, with a focus on the education and holistic development of young children.
The centre, named as Nadal Educational & Tennis School (NETS), is housed at the Anantapur Sports Village (ASV). The program was initiated for both Boys & Girls in 2010 with 90 children. Currently, the total number of participants at NETS is 226 (78 Girls and 148 Boys).
NETS cater to both boys and girls in the U-6 to U-16 age categories. Sessions are run twice, daily in the morning and evening from Monday to Saturday. The children are divided into groups depending upon their age category as well as level of play. They are provided with Tennis equipment and clothing including rackets, balls, drill equipment and stringing machine, as well as state of the art Tennis infrastructure including five floodlit clay courts and a practice wall. The programs are planned and continually monitored by the NETS coordinator with help of coaches. Moreover, the coaching staff is internally trained by RDT. ¤¤

Not too sad that Rafa lost today. Won't ind him losing early in IW and Miami as well. Should be as fresh as possible for clay.

saw the match last night at third set 3:3...
we all know what a person kyrgios is but this time i have to say that rafa did it not his best way in way of fairness when he stops the service from kyrgios at 6:5 final tiebreak.
i saw this way of interrupting his opponent many times when rafa got breakpoints, setball, matchballs...
i dont like it very much but i understand that before those points the crowds makes more noise.
without this interrupting rafa had won the game...thats my opinion. the interuption cost him all concentration and the match.
now he can rest, so the loss ist not so bad in way of his health
