Nadal v Djokovic final...

If that happens does it mentally destroy the Next Gen? Also does it give Federer more hope and incentive he has more slams in him as if he can establish himself back at no.3 then he definitely can bag more majors as Nadal and Djokovic are susceptible to injuries.

It would be pretty embarrassing, but it's still a long way away, and based on what I've seen so far I don't think I'd predict it. I'd still expect Zverev to crumble in (if he's pushed to) crunch time, but I think Medvedev and Tsitsipas both look really good. No idea why Medvedev took an MTO in his last match, but I don't think it had anything to do with his body.

I think Novak looks good enough to be in the final. Any injury sustained does not seem to bother him that much. Nadal will find it difficult to go past Tsitsipas and Medvedev. The final could be between Djokovic and Medvedev.
Not sure about Medvedev. Tsitsipas i think more likely.
As for Nadal we will know where he is at after next match as that will be a good barometer for him

Please, no. We need new faces in the finals, and tennis more interesting than those two boring baseliners.

I think Novak will make the final but Nadal will not. Novak's draw opened up when Thiem lost. At the beginning of the tournament we all knew only Thiem could potentially have stopped Novak.

Nadal cannot beat Fognini, Titspas, Medvedev back to back with one less day of rest. Which is not a surprise because Nadal was never even the second favorite here.

The most likely final is Novak vs Medvedev. I just don't think Medvedev is mentally ready to win a slam or to beat Novak in a best of 5. And the Russian's draw is tough too. I think he will be physically spent after beating Nadal or Titspas and having one day less rest for the final.

Overall the tournament is going exactly as predicted. The only unexpected events was Thiem loss. That would make Novak's job easier. But regardless it will be a Novak-Medvedev final.

That’s true. Although I think Novak should just drop clay and focus on the other surfaces and slams. Especially when he gets past Fed weeks at no1 record. Either that or reduce his clay schedule.
If he skipped clay he could win many more majors. Clay nowadays takes a lot out of him and that FO W period takes all his energy which is why he is often vulnerable in NY.

Injuries are the only thing that can stop Djokovic winning the next 3-4 AO and Wimbledon, and has is heavy favourite for at least 2 more USO.

No one wants to see more of this crap matchup. Can someone from Nextgen please step up?

Nadal is going down against Fognini. He has a mental block against him. Big hole for his legacy.
Yes, 12-4 to Rafa against Fabio definitely indicates a massive mental block.
