Damn, where were you a few weeks ago? I've already got my room at the Crowne Plaza, and I'm not certain I can cancel w/o a penalty. Let me see what I can do tomorrow.

I'm playing in the 45s (tournament #2) and will be arriving Sunday afternoon ~ 3:30 - 4. My daughter has a soccer tournament that weekend, and her last match is @ 10:30. I think travel time from Northern VA is 3 1/2 hrs.

Either way, if you want to get some hitting in Sunday afternoon, let me know & we'll set something up.

Ah, just finished reading your 2nd post (I probably should have done that first...duh). I'll send you an e-mail tomorrow once I hear about canceling my reservation.

So Gut4Tennis, how'd you do in the tournament? Are you still in the main draw, or playing the consolation?

Me & my partner bombed out of the doubles quickly. He was having a bad day of it, and I'm not a strong enough doubles player to carry someone when they're off. I can "anchor" the team by putting many returns back & getting a high percentage of 1st serves in, but can't take over the court like many good doubles players can.

In the singles, I won my 1st round after splitting sets, then my opponent defaulted. I was supposed to play yesterday at Merion, and this is what it looked like at 11AM:

They called the matches @ 11:30, and this is what it looked like at 11:35:

My match was rescheduled for this morning @ GCC, but I had to default because I had to get back to work & fix a few things. Great tournament, though, and really enjoyed the grass. I will definitely be back next year.

Good luck if you're still in it.

Sounds like fun, I didn't end up making it because our one guy who actually would have been competitive got injured. Ah well next year.
