Natural Gut, which brand?

So a quick question for all you natty gut users. I would just like a comparison or maybe suggestion as to which brand to go with in my hybrids of gut/poly. Obviously Wilson and VS seem to get a majority of th ehyp but looking at the cheaper brands such as Klip Legen, Pacific Classic and even the Volkl gut there seems to be a mixed bag of reviews. I see some that love it, some that hate and some that havent used it because it broke while stringing. Imjust looking for a little insight and maybe if I should definitely stay away from anything in particular. It's subjective i know but still would like the insight. Thanks in advance.

I quite like pacific classic. It's the gut I always use. It's stiffer than Wilson and lower powered, but I like that. It's not stiff or low powered by any means, but it is stiffer than Wilson. The new Vs, at least for me, is horrible.

Volkl and Klip is the same string (legend)

Try Pacific and Klip and see which one you like.

Check the Mamba thread in here as well

Tried the Mamba, unfortunately half a set broke on my stringer the other in my bag overnight. Looking to go with the more name brands. Plus the inconsistency in guage was too much for my liking with the Mamba. Sucks cause Ray is awesome to deal with.

I prefer Pacific classic over all the higher priced brands. Its strings just as nice as Bab and I like the feel of it when I play better. Crisp yet powerful at the same time.

Pacific Prime Gut and Wilson Natural Gut is the way to go so far. Stay away from the new Babolat VS Gut and Tonic Gut with BT7. It's horrible. I'm about to try Klip Legend for the first time and see how it plays.

I like VS Touch the best with great pop and lasts long.
Klip Legend is good and bit stiffer and less pop.

I talked to Ray today and he is trying to correct the problem. He has a new shipment arriving today or tomorrow and he will be checking the quality himself. He takes care of any problems so give him credit. He is definitely working on the problem. I trust he will get it fixed.

I can vouch for his customer service. He took care of me my when my nat gut broke while being strung.

Oh he definitely took care of me. Refunded full purchase price for the gut and a set of iontec. I've never had such good customer service. I'll definitely continue to purchase iontec but may wait on the gut.

I really like both Pacific Classic and Tough Gut, and Klip Legend. I have some rackets strung with VS17 from the pre-BT7 days and that is nice string, but I think it is biased towards power over touch. String Legend a bit looser because it is stiffer, but only 1-2 pounds...

Wilson Natural gut plays closest to the old Babolat VS non BT7 so hopefully they didn't change their process recently.

Prince Natural gut is the other brand that is just slightly stiffer than the original VS.

These are the two to go with if you looking for that soft and comfortable feel from the original Babolat VS strings unless you can grab some of the older ones off the great auction site.

Pacific Prime isn't bad but plays a tad too crispy for me.
