Bucks and Lakers continue their dueling dominant starts.

Lou Williams’ non-existent defense catalyzes a rout by the Bucks as he somehow achieves a -33 +/- in only 23 minutes, mostly playing alongside noteworthy defenders PG, Load Manager, and Beverley. Clips aren’t sniffing finals unless they eject him from rotation.

Meanwhile, Lakers’ second team of Kuzma, Dwight, Caruso, and Rondo (with staggered minutes from LeBron) did most of the +/- damage last night in road routing the Blazers.

A quarter way into the season and I can’t recall a season where there was so much separation between the teams in the top 10 and the rest of the league. The regular season features a lot of blowouts, but can’t wait for the playoffs. I also can’t remember a season where the title was so up for grabs. Bucks, Lakers, Clips, and even the Raps and Rockets have to be considered in the mix for the title. And second tier teams like the Celts, Mavs, Sixers, and Nuggets are good enough to potentially play spoilers.

Bucks are deep, playing all 13 and getting more than garbage time production. No starter logged more than 26 minutes.

Saw those jaillbreak baskets off long rebounds in the third quarter. Clippers were stuck in the mud slow. Turned it off Lot of unattractive games lately.

Noticed the Cavs are keeping it close with the Sixers tonite

I liked Matthews since his days with Portland and it seems like he will play a good role this year. I am happy for him.
Milwaukee crushed LAC but it will be a different story if they match in the finals. Leonard and George are beasts come the playoffs time.

Under 50 down at the half was better than expected, no?
Turned, was 83-43, turned the page. Thought that may be good luck.....................................turned off the Buckeyes at the half. Cavs get the Celtics next, Bucks Saturday

Somewhere, Ted Stepien is smiling

Sacto beats Houston by one on a 32-foot buzzer beater by Bjelica, 119-118. Westbrook looked like the hero with a layup with 1 second remaining but Sacto called a TO, inserted Bjelica and he drained the GW trey.

Hardenbrook combined for 61 but baked 14 Sara Lees.

Indiana fans just won’t let go of their hate for PG13. He was booed every touch early in the LAC rout of the Pacers. After his 36/9/5/2/1 contribution, he promised to do a tell all one day about the breakup and hinted the booing might stop when the facts are laid out.

This is the same town that booed Andrew Luck when his retirement announcement leaked out through Adam Schefter during a preseason game this summer.

His most impressive stat line was putting up a +20 without his load managing running mate while absorbing most of Lou Williams’ bricking minutes (2-19 shooting).

Trae Young went too far with his mouth by audibly saying, “It’s over!” as he walked to the bench with a 6-point Hawks lead and 59 seconds left. Miami scored six to tie and the first 16 points in OT for a 135-121 win. Butler and Adebayo had trip dubs but the scoring was led by Kendrick Nunn and Duncan Robinson (36 and 34).

Gaudy 21-3 records by the LeBronskis and the Greek Bucks lead both conferences at roughly the quarter pole of the season.

Milwaukee has a 15-game win streak but will rest Giannis tonight (knee soreness) at home vs NOP.

LAL is in Mousetown tonight and hoping to make it a really Tragic night. Then they take their talents to South Beach on Friday to play the undefeated at home Heat.

The marquee game tonight is Load Manager’s return to The Six, where he will be given his championship ring.

Please be classier than Indiana fans, T-dot! It should be a zero-booing tolerance zone.

The Big LeBronskis continue to roll, basically winning in the the 26-9 first quarter vs The Tragic. Owner/GM/Coach James gets a trip dub.

Load Manager got his ring and then chipped in a team-high 23 as LAC used a 37-14 second quarter to drub the Dinos in their fugly throwback unis by 20.

Who needs Giannis? Bucks don’t as they are walloping NOP by 23 at the half.

The Beard goes double nickel on the Cadavers because he had to with the home underdogs ripping off 24 straight points to take an 11-point lead in the fourth quarter. Houston answered and then finished them off 116-110.

Best game might have been Indiana edging visiting Boston by 5 with a 38-24 fourth quarter, 122-117. Walker had 44 in the losing effort.

Unibrow says, “Hello! That old man kept hurting himself last year without me.”
ESPN’s always-highly-revealing Real Plus-Minus stat is finally available for 2019-2020. After the first 25 games, the gap between the best player in the NBA this year (guess who?) and the next-best guy is so remarkably large that the media would probably vote almost unanimously if season ended today.

Game of the night was a battle between two powerhouses. The Warriors erased an 18 point halftime deficit to force OT but the Knicks walked away victorious narrowly beating the defending western conference champs by 2. Marcus “Bernard King” Morris (36/10) RJ “Houston” Barrett (22/10) and Julius “less athletic Zion” Randle (24/13) all had double doubles. Deangelo “Hardaway” Russell had 36 to lead the home team.

Scores and plays take a backseat tonight after ex-Commissioner David Stern was rushed to the hospital after suffering a brain hemorrhage. The next few hours are dire straits for the 77-year-old.

No excite for The LeBronskis taking their talents to South Beach??? I am disappoint!

The Jump set up shop in the Triple A today and special guest star Alonzo Mourning was quite entertaining with a lot of inside scoops about the Heat.

Trivia factoid...Rachel Nichols is the daughter-in-law of the late cinema/Broadway icon Mike Nichols. Did not know that until earlier this week.

The Big LeBronskis win 113-110 after The Butler misses a trey to tie just before the buzzer. Great second half to build a big lead and then hold on FTW.

28/9/12 for King LeBron but his 7 of his 8 TOs in the first half helped Miami build their lead.

LM and PG13 came with 10 points combined of the all-time 98 of Kiki Vandeweghe/Alex English (Triple OT) as they went 42/46 with both not load managing due to blowing a 27-point lead as LAC held on to win by seven, 124-117.

L.Williams was a DNP due to a calf injury. I suspect this injury occurred because he tried to actually play defense for the first time in a while against the Raps last game (team-best +29 plus-minus, a very rare complete effort for him).

I’m sensing the 3x (2x defending) Sixth Man Of The Year Sweet Lou hate in you rising to the dangerous Raul-level distaste for Patrick Corbin in our MLB chatter. I will consult with @Federer and Del Potro and @T1000 to confirm my diagnosis and plot a proper treatment before I revert back to you.

Lou’s award was nowhere near as unmerited as Carmelo garnering player of the week honors while posting one of the 10 worst 538 RAPTOR ratings in the NBA.

It makes me sick to know that the warriors will win the lottery while the Knicks might have a worse record and get the 4th pick. Keep f*ing the Knicks over, Silver. Maybe basketball and the love for the NBA one day will be dead in the biggest city. It's the only way they'll stop screwing us NYers over (in the draft, everything else is self-inflicted).

With LM load managing, Clipper starters are combined -31 at halftime vs the Terri-Bulls, but their deep bench is a combined +41 to make up the difference.

They wound up losing 106-109 after taking a 5-point lead with two minutes to play. Beverley (concussion) and Sweet Lou (calf) were also out.

Dallas lost Doncic to a sprained ankle early and fell behind to visiting Miami but forced OT before losing. X-rays were negative so the youngster is day to day.

Another top squad playing without a stud lost when visiting Detroit beat Houston without Westbrook 115-107. Harden had 39 on 14/33 (4/13 treys) shooting but his parade to the FT line resulted in only 7/8 there.

Milwaukee cruised to an 18th straight win, 125-108 over visiting Cadavers. Giannis played just 23 minutes but scored 29.

38-year-old marksman-for-hire Kyle Korver kept it close with team-best +16 effort.
Plus/minus in BB is in this case overrated. I think Giannis with a 48/14 effort in just 34 minutes was what kept it close. The other starters got just 23 points while three Bucks subs scored 38.

Seth Curry’s 26 off the bench for Dallas was killer.

Giannis is now averaging a freaky 31.7 points in just 31.2 minutes of play this season. His minutes are down from his MVP season last year by 1.6 minutes per game while his scoring is up by exactly 4 points per game, this despite a slump in FT % to a career low 59.8%.

The Big LeBronskis drop a close one to the Pacers 102-105 in Indy with The Unibrow resting. LBJ went for 20/9/9 but had little support except for Dwight Howard off the bench with 20 on a 10/10 shots night.

Bigger news in MSG where the Knicks blew up for 143 in a romp over visiting Atlanta, 143-120. It was 77-53 at the half in the rout with Barrett, Robinson, Morris and Knox getting 91 combined.

More than 1/3 way into season, and the Milwaukee Bucks have an SRS rating (SOS-adjusted point differential) over +12, which is better than the 1995-1996 Bulls, the most dominant team of the modern era.

Meanwhile, they are still lagging well behind both LA teams in the Vegas odds for the 2020 title, those teams likely having to battle each other just to reach the finals. Is the public sleeping on the small-market Bucks?

The analytics junkie in me is tempted to plunk some money down on the Bucks, but my gut tells me Playoff LeBron and Playoff Rondo would make me regret it if I did.
