NCAA Questions : Sponsorships for Junior Players

HEADDS

New User
Hey all..

I need some help regarding the NCAA rules about tennis sponsorships (equipment, clothing, etc). I have been told before that juniors should watch out with sponsorship agreements and prize money because if accepted it would rule them out of playing college tennis. Can somebody please tell me how this works? For example, if one were to be on HEAD Elite team where equipment is not free, but heavily discounted, this wouldn't rule them out of college tennis, right? What about if one were to recieve free clothing from a athletic clothing company... Does this rule them out? Somebody please explain this to me because as you clearly see, I am lost... Thanks in advance!!

receiving free or heavily discounted gear will make no difference on your college tennis. I pretty sure they only care about receiving prize money at pro tournaments.

Well, I You Sign A Contract, You Have To Promote The Product. If You Haven't Sign Anything... You Have Not To Promote.
I Have Sign For A Sponsorship For Strings / Racquets And Apparel And I Have To Promote The Product.
