Need a thicker grip

My Head LM Radical has served me faithfully, but the grip on it is a little too thin for me too put heavy topspin on the ball without the racquet slipping. I would like to buy a synthetic grip from my tennis shop with the following 3 qualities being most important: 1. durability, 2. comfort (will not give blisters), and 3. tackiness. The local shop carries these four grips: Babolat Syntec, Prince Duratac, Wilson micro-dry comfort, and the Wilson K grip. Which of these would work best? Also, how good is the new Wilson K grip?
Thanks,
Tyler

Gamma overgrips and grips tend to be thicker and more durable but you don't have it at your shop... Maybe order from TW?

use leather grip... thick leather such as volkl , wilson, and pacific pro grip.
leather gives you better feel, bevel etc and more durability

The local shop carries the gamma overgrips, just not the replacement grips by gamma. I use the gamma supreme overgrips because the owner of the store recommended them, and I love them. I would order from TW again, but right now I do not have the funds to do it, so I have to get my tennis supplies from the local shop.

Unfortunately, my local shop does not carry leather grips, and they are a little too expensive for me.

Thanks for the help,
Tyler

Ya I use the Gamma Supreme overgrips to build up my grip. It's a little thicker than Supergrap, and has similar tac. But Gamma does make thinner overgrips as well, so make sure you get the supreme if you want build up, and not the Gamma Grip 2 for example.

Is it me, or do the Gamma supreme white overgrips seems tackier and softer than the black ones? My friend demoed a Babolat Z drive racquet that had a white Gamma Supreme overgrip that was white, and it seemed tackier and softer than my blakc one.

Has anybody used the new Wilson K replacement grip?

Just my two cents, but if you can try the Gamma Hi Tech Gel Grip, I'd give that a try. I've been using these for a while now and it does make the grip bigger. One thing I really liked was that it rounds out the head grip to make it more Wilson or Prince shaped.

Ok, I will order that grip when I get a chance. I have heard good things about the gamma grips. One final question, after switching to the Head LM Radical, my forehand always hits the net and does not go over. With my old racquet (about 1 oz. lighter) I had a really powerful forehand with lots of topspin that would go over. Do I need to put some lead tape on my racquet or in the butt cap?
Thanks,
Tyler

The racket is not the problem, it's your technique. Now go hit the courts. :)
